COVID-19 Response (Updated 5/29/2020)

An Update From GLDN

We’re still working (like crazy)!

We were able to stay open by setting up our makers to work from home. For production work like this, doing that wasn’t easy -- and the new order flow isn’t as fast. But it was work from home, or close down until further notice. We believed the right thing to do was to pull through for our makers and their families. And we knew that we had to continue to be a way for people to connect with each other, especially when they’re isolated or far away.

Shipping Delays

We were happy to be able to get a work from home set up going, but it did slow things down. (And we received a lot more orders over Mother’s Day than expected.)

Right now, we’re about 6-8 weeks out on production of personalized orders.

We did not anticipate delays like this and are incredibly thankful for your patience and understanding.  We are slowly catching up!

Shipping Separately

We had to change some of our workflows so not everything in an order will always ship together. You will receive a shipment confirmation email, which lists all of your pieces, but some pieces may arrive separately and can ship within a week apart.

Ready to Ship Pieces

If you’re looking for something fast, we’ve got things! Our Ready to Ship pieces are still handmade by us, but made ahead of time so they can be delivered fast. They’re some of the most popular pieces we have and give you a quicker option for gifting. You can find them on the site at

Lots of gratitude

We’re happy that people have been placing all these orders and are so thankful for the support. So many of you have been making sweet gifts to connect with loved ones and it’s been really exciting to see all these notes and meaningful pieces come through.

Thank you so much for your patience as we work through this. Your understanding and support mean everything to us.

What we’re doing.

We're really happy to share that we've been able to comply with Washington’s current regulations while still fulfilling orders and keeping our makers healthy and working from home. They're following strict sanitation protocols to ensure the safety of our customers and our team. We’ve taken the following steps:

  • Our production team will be completing all orders from home

  • Instituted additional hand washing and diligent hand sanitizing precautions

  • Twice-daily thorough sanitization of all workstations and tools

  • Conscious purchasing decisions to stock enough cleaning and safety supplies without reducing supplies for others who need them

  • Advance on additional hours of paid sick leave so team members can stay safe without jeopardizing their livelihood

  • Changing any meetings to be “call-in meetings” instead of gatherings

How will this affect my order?

Some adjustments have had to be made, so please be aware of the following changes:

  • Our production times have temporarily increased

  • If you’d like to update your order or upgrade shipping, please let us know ASAP and we’ll cancel it so you can make a new order.

  • Some of our items or options might be temporarily unavailable

Is ordering online safe?

While information is still developing about how long this particular virus lasts, according to preliminary research¹, COVID-19 can live on cardboard and copper surfaces for up to 24 hours and on stainless steel and plastic for up to 3 days.

For our customers, this means that even in the case that someone on our team does develop signs of illness, by the time your jewelry arrives through standard shipping, any potential contamination could not survive, even if we took no extra precautions.

However, because we want to be extra cautious, and because we do offer accelerated shipping options, we will be sanitizing all of our jewelry and plastic packaging with a final wipe down of a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution to avoid any possibility of contamination before your piece is boxed up and sent to you.

What about other sources?

Of course, like most sellers, we can’t control who touches the shipping envelope after our products leave our shop. Our postal service members in the US generally wear gloves, but to be safe, you should immediately recycle or throw away your packaging once it’s opened and then wash your hands before going on with your day.

We want to hear your questions and concerns! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at
