Artists We Love: Aurore De La Morinerie
We are in complete awe of the extensive and beautiful work of Aurore De La Morinerie. She can truly do it all. From high fashion illustrations to abstract monotypes, there is a distinctive grace to everything this French illustrator and designer touches.
Aurore first focused her creativity into fashion. After graduating Fashion Design school in Paris, her fashion illustration career made a swift start. She quickly picked up big name clients, such as Hermes, Chanel, Cartier, and Vogue. Some of her more recent work, displayed below, represents her allusive, yet refined eye for high fashion.
Aurore De La Morinerie graduated from school with a degree in fashion design, however, this was not her only pursuit. She was also studying calligraphy and painting throughout China and Japan, which she lends to her technique. Aurore went on to explore her expression in furniture design, monotypes, and everything in between.
Aurore De La Morinerie's work is a continuous journey, constantly changing mediums and sources of inspiration. It delicately speaks profound love poems through soft whispers, coveys a whole time and place with the motion of a paintbrush, and shares her perception of life as she is processes it. We can only only imagine the places it will go.
